I got a nice batch of CUC members from John @ reefcleaners and the Nerties haven't been doing much cleaning, but a LOT of egg laying on my glass and rocks. I have somewhere between 50 and 80 eggs everywhere! It's pretty cool but my question would be: Is there a survivability rate for the babies? I would be pretty stoked to get some free snails!

They rarely survive the SG is too high in reef tanks. Nerites are most active at night BTW.

Usually just free fish food. My flame angle loves picking them off the glass. :)

I just received a CUC from John too:

    60 Dwarf Ceriths
    22 Nassarius
    30 Florida Ceriths
    22 Nerites

Put the snails in yesterday and today Ive noticed what looks like some sort of egg pockets being laid all over the place... on the glass on the rock... Did your eggs look like this? what became of the eggs your snails laid?

Nothing, they sat there and slowly deteriorated, or I scraped them off. I read they won't survive so I might as well just get rid of the eggs. Sad, I wanted an army of snails.
