    So came home today from a 13 hour work day to find a nerite on the floor in front of the tank. Wife said it was there when she got home an hour before me.
    1) No clue how the thing got out but makes me question how airtight my lid is for keeping creatures in

    2) After putting it back in the tank it started crawling immediately still totally alive!!

    Damn these guys are hardy!lol

    Aren't they amazing!! Found one behind my tank once. Shell was totally dried and I thought wth an tossed em back in the tank. Couple of minutes later off he went!! Way cool :)

    Same thing happened to me last week!! i almost threw it in the trash till the wife told me to stick it back in. Alive and moving. He got so far away front eh tank, like he was shot from a snail cannon!
