My magnifica anemone is doing something it has not done in the 4 months i've had it. Not sure why its starting to all of a sudden but i got a pict. This might look like i fed it something but it has not been fed. it's done it twice today.... what you think? i'm not concerned...more curious. looks like i just finished feeding him but i haven't....nothing missing either. looked like he was trying to eat my clowns ;)

Cool picture - might want to do head count :) that's normal when they got some food. the clown might have picked up something and brought it to him.

yeah my clowns have done that lots, but because the anemone is so big...and i mean huge i usually only broght part of its tenticles into its mouth. This is the very first time i've seen this and i spend alot of time observing my tank.

p.s it's back open again...was closed 5 mins ago. I'm sure its nothing but was just curious to what some of the more experienced members thought

Well from my experiance he is either eating or going potty. Either way, good timing on your part to snag the picture and share it. How large is he btw ?

Some coral and anemone will recoil like that if there is an Alk or PH shift.

i'd say its about the size of a large dinner plate when fully open or about 10'' diameter. Lucky for me he's usually scrunched up and not fully flat open
