    I think so as well

I'm relatively sure the break in period as far more to do with oils on the skimmer's surfaces than slime coat.

The only issue that you may experience is that the spray leaves a frosted/white film on the surface of the material it is sprayed on. Other than that, I think this is a great idea!

If it doesn't, you can buy it for a few dollars more on eBay or Amazon. Just search for the lowest price if you do.

Apparently Alex has found the stuff to be toxic to chickens.Needless to say this ended his little experiment.:(

Well my wife was told its not good for chickens to eat..... I don't know. I just got my replacement cup in the mail and want to do a little research before subjecting my reef.

Ok now it makes sense. I was wondering what the correlation between a reef tank and chickens was. Hehe we'll I still wonder how this will play out. Good luck.

stop water-proofing your chicken feed ;D

seriously though that sounds ridiculous. Its not safe to feed your chickens acrylic either but thats what skimmers are made of. I doubt a water proofing agent would leach anything once dried.

they even have a TED talks for this stuff. like others have said, so, so many uses.
people will be putting this stuff on EVERYTHING! (as in not just reef related)

I'm guessing the amount of skimmate at your current setting will dramatically increase as once it hits the neck, it will be amost frictionless. I'd guessing you'll have to throttle it back considerably from your current setting. Great idea tho!

This could very well be a mod that everyone might be doing soon if it works as expected...
