I think that my diatom bloom is starting to go away starting to come off the back wall and rocks. Just my water is a little cloudy right now is that normal when the diatoms are going away???

I would say normal... I didn't change my stock pump. But I did add another pump, I put it at the bottom under the stock output to take care of any dead spots....

Thanks Baugherb. I ave been checking my water still no amonia, nitrates and nitrites. Used different test kits to make sure. This is the first time I have done it with RO water just trying to get things right this time. Never had luck before just always had bad informaiton. Just was worried about why the water was getting cloudy.

Yea I am running what came with the tank. The first chamber I have the sponges, 2nd chamber the bio balls ceramic rings and carbon bag, 3rd chamber have a heater and my return pump. Took my skimmer that came with the tank off earlier and the water seemed to start clearing up.

Stupid question!! Sorry I forgot it came with carbon.. Shortly after getting mine I removed the sponges, and carbon. Only had the ceramic rings left in mine. I used pretty much just natural filtration with the amount of live rock in the tank...
