So I am getting my first saltwater tank. I have a background in heavily planted, co2, fertilizer freshwater tanks.. so I think I can handle a more basic salt water tank. It’s the JBJ 12 gallon DX nanocube. Its around 4 watts per gallon. Already has live rock, heater, pump, and some invertebrates. Just zoas for the most part. What would be some good coral to start with? I will let it go for a week or two just so I can make sure everything is going well but it’s already established and just being transported. I also plan to add 2 clownfish (please don’t tell me this is a jail, etc.). What else do I need as far as a “cleanup crew”? what would be some good stocking as far as shrimp, snails, hermit crabs…? Thanks everyone!! I am very excited to get started!

Any other general advice would be appreciated also!

Congrats on your new tank! What most of us use for our clean up crews is reefcleaners.org. You can submit an inquiry for a custom clean up crew, and John will get you all set up and ready to go.
