That's a tough one. the store has every right to deny replacement because you did drive away with it and it could have happened at some point during the drive or when you moved it. However, for customer relations, it would be better for them to replace it. Many places will have you inspect the tank before transporting it to ensure no damage was done on their part. Although, it sounds like they will replace it if they want you to bring it back.

Damn, i'd be really pissed! Of course they will probably think you did it. Its things like this that make me take averything out of the package and check it in front of them. I have seen way too many things like this. Good luck with the replacement.

yea thanks guys, the chip is in between the glass where the silicone is so to have chiped it you would have to put a screw driver or something in between the outer back pane and the side pane?

If thats the case, they need to replace it. Thats the tank builders fault, and you paid for a new tank. I'm sure the description didn't say, "2 small chips" did it?

Good luck, if they want a happy customer they'll exchange it. I had the same issue with the first 75g I bought, luckily I have a nice LFS and they swapped it for me NP, it was just a huge hassle having to make two trips and haul that thing around so much. :)
