New 120G Build..need some advice

    I tell my friends that use an external pump to have a little desk fan pointed at the pump to keep it cool since it won't be water cooled. External pumps can get quite hot. I am paranoid about one catching on fire, which is why I keep my pumps submerged. Besides that, 900-1200watts per hour scare me. I don't want to see that electric bill. :eek:

    I'm setting up one pump for a closed loop and one for the sump and return... looking at 0.8 amps of 220v per pump.... 3600 gph....
