I am in the same boat with the tank size and I have the same problem with choosing MHs. I was gonna do 3x250. That seems to be good for a 6 ft tank. I have seen a few tanks though with 2x400 and it looks really good. Also what do you tend to use for actinics? I would go with T5s

    Light?

I'g go with 3 X 250's and the 4 T5's.....can't go wrong. You gotta start with the question, what you'll be keeping in the tank? Stonies(ie:Acros?), then go with the 400's. Don't forget a good chiller and plenty of $$$. For the center brace, also consider do-it-yourself canopy with a kit where you can mount the lights where you want them. Go to Sunlight Supply.com;)

I just purchased a 150 this past weekend also. I was planning on 4 175W MH + 4 t5s. I am using 2 175s on a 3 ft 24" deep tank now and can handle SPS with ease. I am hoping that I can make these work without going to the 250s.

I would definately go for the Qty 4 lights. No MH over the center brace. Can't imagine that mess.

    Edit: 175W not 150W
