    I say,

    start scouring CL and go SW and Reef all the way.

    Much more enjoyable, IMHO.

    to be honest i would love to go SW but i honestly cant afford it especially in a 150g tank

    As for the filter, I'd recommend the Fluval FX5 Canister Filter. I've known these to be great for freshwater tanks. Good luck!
