thanks! Its not an open top tank there is a full canopy all eel proofed with eggcrate. stocking has been pretty slow so far. I had 1 day of elevated levels after the move and transfers and thats been all. In the tank now is the eel, purple tang, a fire fish, 3 chromis, a 6-line wrasse and a yellow corris wrasse in 200 gallons of water. Its not a new setup at all, more of an upgrade with 3 tanks piled into one thats been together for a month.

Later on I plan to add in that pair of bluethroats, maybe a powder blue (after another couple months minimum), mimic tang, flame angel, 2 pairs of clowns, black cap basselet, and maybe a couple other misc small fish I can let the girls pick out.

heh, my LFS is moving down the road and were having a real nice sale on all their livestock, and I had a nice big store credit to dip into. whats even better is the triggers were in their FO tank that they run copper in for around 2 months, and already eating like pigs. the clowns were also dipped, eating and pre-quarantined in a mild copper tank for around 3-4 weeks.

sooo to anyone wondering what a bite from a zebra eel feels like . . . its kinda like someone surprising you with a pair vice-grips crushing your knuckle / finger when your least expecting it. diddnt draw any blood or anything, but man that was some scare.

I added a TON of corals from a friends tank, he is having some major cyano problems, so I took in most of his more sensitive sps and lps until he can get everything straightened up. most of them are in rough shape, but it does fill in the tank nicely . . . I just hope they all pull through.
