Found a 29g tank on craigslist with stand, light, and hot magnum filter for 50 bucks. Well after I got everything home and started cleaning the tank I found out just how bad the tank was. After finding out petco had a dollar a gallon sale on their tanks I decided to purchase a new 29g tank. The stand was pretty old and in bad shape (pic below), and after a good sanding, a paint job, and new hardware I think it turned out pretty well. Gonna wait a lil bit to start my cycle bc I don't have live rock or the sand (funds are getting tight lol). This is the stand before. [IMG]. This is the stand after. [IMG]

Well got my tank on the stand and I filled it with water. Basically just running salt water thru the filter since I bought it used and it was previously on a fw set up. Bored mainly lol. [IMG]

When you do set it up don't get crushed coral, trust me on that one it will cause problems 4-6mounts down the road.

I had to do the switch, its a lot of work.

Sorry, but you keep spelling it "mounts" in all your posts.
I do agree on the not using crushed coral substrate (I didn't have any issues for the first 18 months, but then it was a constant PITA). From personal experience I can tell you it's a very bad idea to use it. A select few will defend it, but they are the very small minority. Use argonite sand.

+1 on not using CC. I have bad algae problems now. ugh. Switching over to argonite, on my 29g soon.
