Since the inlet on the 8-way is 1.5" and the outlets are all 1", what I'd do if i were you, would be to T-off the the 7500 GPH pump to two 1.5" lines, each with an OM 4-way on them. That way, with 8 total returns plumbed in, you can have water shooting out 8 of them at a time. With the OM 8, you could only have water shooting out 2 returns at a time. I have a 3600 dart, which is just under half the flow of the 7500 gph.

If you have only one 4-way or one 8-way plumbed in with that pump, you woud get twice the flow out of each outlet that I have. That would be quite some flow... The only drawback is the outlets are only 1" in both scenarios.
However, with the OM 4-ways, you do have the option for 1.5" inlet and 1.5" outlets - but I'm not sure how much of a difference in flow the 1.5" outlets would make over the 1" outlets, other than to reduce the amount of back pressure.

ok so i still so darn busy i havent had time to do anything but i was wondering if you guys could help? im still stuck on how i am going to do my lighting. i am going to have 3-175w MH going from left to right and then 2-250w MH on the end of those. as well as 8 t-5's in the front and 8 in the rear.(only really 4 in the front and rear but 8-48" so it takes 8 to do it) the only thing is i want to be able to slide the whole lights setup that will be mounted to 1" plywood out of the way so i can work on the tank. but i know i will need a 16ft track to do so. any ideas on where to look or how to do this? thanks everyone

well finnaly i have made some progress. i got the tank on the stand and started the plumbing. i am waiting on one more OM4 and i decided to run two gen x 55hp pumps on my double injector MRC skimmer. i am probly going to drill the tank tonight to add 4 more 1" holes on the back wall so i have 8 CL holes and 8 Return lines on top for a total of almost 19,000 GPH

thanks. well i got the 4 1in holes and 2 1.5" holes cut in the back of the tank for the CL but i have to say i really messed up. i got the three 1" holes cut and one of the 1.5" holes cut and decided to go eat some dinner and came back with the 1.5" bit on moved on to the next two, one of them may i add was the last 1" hole.... yep you guessed it... i drilled both of them with the 1.5" bit on about half way through on the 1". i was so mad. well life goes on. at least i didnt crack the tank. i will add some pics of it later.

well i finnaly got the plumbing done. what a nightmare. i had so many problems. i got my OM4 on the left side installed and all the other plumbing is done just have to wait for my new OM4 on the right to get here, but all i have to do is set it in there because i already plumbed it off of the other one. the flow is REALLY good with the two OM4's and the returne pump running. next up is figuring out how im going to hang my lights.

could you mount them on a peice of plywood or something and attach pulleys to each corner to just raise it up or down. or do the track thing and instead of sliding to the side have it slide back.
