New 40B tank build

    So I've added 30lbs of base rock from reefcleaners, and 10-15lbs of live rock from the current tank. I think I'm going to go ahead and move the other 10-15lbs from the old tank and the livestock over tomorrow.

    I'm hoping with the 50lbs of live sand and 30lbs of cured LR from the old tank, the cycle will be minimized and all the livestock will be fine. I also added a bottle of Dr Tim's One and Only today to help.

    I'll add pics tomorrow once it settles a bit.

    Aquascaping is almost done. I've 3 more pieces of LR from the existing tank to move over today, then the rest of the livestock. Current FTS is below.

    Transfer complete! I did have about .25-.5 ammonia when I first put in the rocks, but all disappeared the following day after the existing LR was added. So far, looks like it went smoothly. Now in a few weeks I can actually start looking at corals.
