New 46 gallon Bow Front build: updated 5/23/10

So...someone wants to buy my camera lens for $1100. Its a Nikkor 17-55 2.8 lens. It had me thinking...if I sold it and and returned my tank (60 day return policy if unused), my light, skimmer etc. Red Sea Max 250...Is it worth it? ;D

 

i'd say go for it! so long you have the money to pay for bigger equipment

lol. i guess that is a smart idea after all, you can make your mistakes on this one, then you'll be experienced and knowledgable enough to run a bigun with no problem

 

glad you have to stick with 46 gal... we can never have too many 46 bow members

once you got that light up and running take some shots, i'll probably want to switch over to T5's and that's the light i'm thinking of switching to. does it just have the 1 power cord for all the lights?

 

Yep...just 1 cord and digital timer (separate) for the T5's and moon lights.

 

Update: The xmas gift ;D AquaticLife T5 HO w/built in timer separate for (white/actinic/led)

Water will be going in next weekend.

Question: So I'm able to return my 2 Koralia 1's. Vortech MP20 is out for now. I exchanged it for 2 Koralia 3's...are these too much for my tank?

 

I've got the same tank. I use two maxi jet 600s in my tank. I think they rate 160gph plus a 1200 on my skimmer and that is good circulation for me. I don't know if this will help but here it is.
