Wahooo...water is finally in the tank! Made 2 trips to my LFS today and got me some RODI saltwater. Water is still cloudy and my back is killing me...

All base rock from BRS-50lbs. Going to cycle with a shrimp.
    Enjoy

Ok...I dropped 1 fresh shrimp in the tank to start the cycle yesterday. I only have dry fiji rock in the tank.

    1. How long do I leave the shrimp in the tank?

    2. Is it highly recommended to add pieces of LR to seed?

I'm trying to avoid adding any LR that way I start with a clean slate. But if you all recommend it, then I will try to pick out a few good pieces from my LFS.

    Thanks in advance...cheers!

Added a sump. This is a pic of my sump and cabinet. Just a like a few other with 46gl tanks the stand sold with it...does not have enough room for a sump. So I built a chest w/ hinged lid. It sits on the side of the DT. Painted inside with water resistant paint and sealed the joints with silicone in case of a leak ;D
