new 47 gallon high tank

i took down my 90 and moved every thing over to a 47 gallon high tank. which im quit happy about how it turned out.
i cooked my rock losing a good bit of dirt. after two week i put the cleanest back in the tank. the dirty rock is still cooking.

i went barebottom on this tank also what can i say i like barebottom now.
i created a high flow area on the bottom of the tank to keep detritus from building up and so the fish can swim in it. so far they seem to enjoy it swim in and out of it.


there were some downsides i had to get rid of my lopezi tang

this was by far one of the toughest decision ive had to make it was one of my favorite fish. i took it to the local fish store with the request it not be sold and go in a display tank. they accepted. now he has a 200 gallon tank to swim in. i would have hated for him to be sold to someone that would stick him in a small tank. naso's need space to roam.

 

new tank looks great, why did you downsize?

 

tank was causing my wood tile to sink. and i need to downsize anyway because ill be moving in the future some time

 

very nice looking So! I like the way you did the pvc to get the space under hte rock, very cool thing you did with the Tang too!
