Hey everybody! Pepperyfox and I are starting a 5 gallon pico for me to take up to my store. I made it from a 5.5 gallon and added a small wall for a refugium. Our goal is softies and a coral banded shrimp. Here is my question, we started it with about 7 lbs of base rock and around 12 established bioballs from our main aquarium. Since we are running base rock and I want to get base rock to be as live as possible, what would you all think about putting a damsel in it? Is that too small of a space for a small damsel? It has already cycled, and I have added a nerite and an astrea snail. 0 amonia, 0nitrites, 5 ppm nitrates. (thank you Dr. Tims and established bioballs!)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Too small for a Damsel IMO. Ghost feeding the tank will provide the same results.

The only fish I would put in there would be a Clown Goby.

Congrats on the new tank. :)

Thanks guys for the advice! I got my coral banded yesterday from a member of my local MAS chapter. I ended up puting him in my 12 biocube I started the same time as the 5 gallon. I think I am going to ghost feed and add some corals to the 5 and a goby later....
