Well I have been searching for a larger tank and i stumbled across a deal on craigslist I couldn't pass up. I found a 55 gallon with stand and canopy. The canopy has 4 retrofitted T-5's which came with two ATI Aquablue specials and two ATI Blue +'s , and moonlights for 100$. I sanded and re-stained and cleared the stand and canopy and it looks good. Now I just gotta get a sump set up and go from there. Just wanted to share my score! Here is a before picture and then two afters.

Im going to run both tanks. I just bought a new current nova extreme 4bulb a few weeks ago. I want two reef tanks, but maybe one with some more aggressive fish and the other with some more docile ones. I still have a few weeks to decide till I get everything set up.

Hi, not to be a downer but I see one concern. I have a stand with one door in the middle a little bigger than your double small doors. The problem I have is that it is real difficult to get to the overflow tube and such. I don't see an over flow built in so I am guessing you will use a hang on type so you will be ok there. It is a little cramped with a center door. When I was flipping my old 55 to the new one the LFS guys that were setting it up suggested a 2 large double door for convenience and I went cheap and stuck with the single, I wish I would have taken their advice.

I think I get what you are saying about accessing things from the front. When the doors open though it is one big opening with no divider between the doors. Kinda hard to explain but the divider is built into one door. We will see. I still am debating if I want to drill it also.

Yes, that was the concern. If you drill it you may be cramped. Here is a pic of my sump under the tank.
