New 55Gal build

I realize he will definitely outgrow it. I am finishing some space in our basement next fall and will be adding a 150g tank at that time.

I have at least a year + before he will outgrow the 55 i think.

 

Picked up a coral beauty angel today. The tang made it's way to a better LFS.

 

Sounds like this will good since you are taking it slow, keep up the good work.

 

Day 2 and the Coral Beauty seems to be doing well. The Oc Clown is also doing good and full of energy, both are eating and active.

I have been feeding them once a day, alternating between flakes, and brine shrimp.

Should i be feeding them more than once a day?

I think once per day is enough to be honest
I occasionally do feed twice, weekends for example, simply because I enjoy it
and not because I feel they need it

The new powerheads came in today.

 

Nice tank! What flow rate powerheads did you get for your 55?

 

I picked up 2x 750 Evolutions. This is my first experience with Koralia powerheads.

I just put them in my RO/DI tub to check them out and was really suprised at how low the flow feels. My previous powerheads were MaxiJet 1200's at 295gph and they feel way more powerful.

 

Last night I found some HEAVY moisture in the wooden hood. When I opened it water ran down the back. I went ahead and installed 2x 120mm 72cfm 14db fans today. I will post pics later.

Tank has been up for about 2 weeks. I just finally put a deli shrimp in there yesterday.

Should I pull the shrimp?

I currently have the tank set up in my office in the basement. The room is about 190sf. ALL of my electronics are in there (computer, plasma, xbox, cameras etc.) should i be worried about the humidity and moisture?
Also today it smells like ASS in my office. With my 29 I never noticed this. It it always going to smell like that or is it just the shrimp?
