Then perhaps, stop the copper and see if the Coral Beauty becomes symptomatic. I would give it another week without copper to see if the fish develops signs and symptoms of Marine Ich again, just to be on the safe side, seeing as you put hard work into QT'ing the fish. Catching and treating the fish again might turn into a huge headache.

 

I gave the coral beauty away over the weekend for a black ocellaris clown. Figured it would be better long term for a reef tank.

I also put a little Yellow Tang in my 55 for a friend since he had to break his down. He went in saturday with a small CUC and is doing great. He already comes to the glass when I walk up and is eating like a horse.

Tang is still doing well, we had a couple snails as casualties the past couple days but other than that everything seems to be ok. I put the GSP frag in a couple days ago and it is doing good.

I think I am at the early stages of a diatom bloom, any suggestions?

 

The diatoms are continuing to get worse.... I am adding another 20 nassarius snails this weekend.

 

More and more yummy diatoms.. Just double checking but do I really do nothing other than my weekly water changes? The tang is ok?

 

Yup, just have to ride it out. Next comes the GHA fun.

 

Even with RODI?

 

Yes, it may not be as severe but you are feeding the fish and they are producing waste. Diatoms, the GHA then Coralline.
