I go to Dallas tomorrow to pick up a used 55 gl acrylic tank/cabinet and canopy that I'll be using as a QT tank for 17 fish. . I'm anxious to get it up and running so I can let it start cycling. I'm not just real sure how to go about doing it since I had not planned on using rock or sand although I may need a little to get it going.

HOw do you suggest I go about doing this so I can start adding fish to it? I want to give it plenty of time to do whatever it needs to do before I start adding anything.

What suggestions do you guys have? I will be using the hyposalinity method for the treatment of ich, although lately I haven't seen any signs of it at all. However, I still need to change out my sandbed so I can get a handle on the high nitrates and phosphates and I'll just go ahead and QT them at the same time.
