Which info is that . . . when you said flame angels will eat corals, or when you said they might nip?? that's the difference between "reef safe with caution" and "not reef safe".

Yeah its 24in long. The hippo is maybe a inch long I figuered she would be fine for sometime before i had to trade her out. I would love to get more live rock but i dont want my tank to be to heavy. i live on the third floor in a apartment lol.

That would be some bad news if it fell LOL you will be fine with adding extra live work as your tank probably already ways a ton.

For now, make sure you keep an eye on it! you might have gotten lucky with a flame who doesnt like corals which would be sick bc they are awsome looking fish

but you said earlier that they all will eat and kill all your corals . . . what is this about that there being some out there that do not exhibit this behavior?

    Hi BMClark

Dwarf angels - I see them in reef tanks all the time, I see flames, I see fireball, I see Beauties , I have had all 3 of these species and a couple of them more than once (different tanks at different times)

I have been terribly unlucky with mine IMO
I have had various levels of anti reef safe behaviour

from occasion pecking causing finger leather to close and worry me
to eating/ consuming Zoanthids and yellow polyps (Beauty did this)

I see so many in other peoples set ups , so I know other people regard them as reef safe

my opinion based on my experience is simply

monitor and be prepared to react if needed

and it is a beautiful fish, so I hope it works out for you

    Steve
