Moving from a 12 gallon salt to a 65. Tank cycled 2 weeks with 40 lbs of live rock, 60 lbs of live sand 2 gallons of old tank water, 2 cups of old tank sand and 2 packs of bio-spira MARINE.. all levels are normal, no spikes anywhere..

I wanted to add 2 black 3-dot damsels to the tank. my old tank has 2 pairs of oceallis clowns ( one pair is medium, one pair is small) , and a bullet gobie .. will i have a problem with the black damsels being too aggressive to my clowns???? better ot know now .. thanks

if it where me I just add just one Just one a single yellow tailed blue damsel and let it ride for about 10 more weeks no skimming and only actinic lighting .. These fish stay small and are chickens and very tentative and shy about coming out not at all aggressive and are nice looking But you add more then one you could get a pair and two of any damsels in a tank that small will rule it all you need to keep cycling steady and healthy is just one.

I'd think twice about those Domino Damsels. They get big and aggressive. They may become bullies of the tank.

Not to be a pain tangster, but my yellow tail used to chase my domino around the tank when i had them. I have a talbots that is a wimp. Every fish has it's own personality, with damsels you are more often than not gonna get a pretty aggressive fish. GL with whatever you decide to go with. Both the domino and yellow-tail are good looking fish... for damsels ;)

How about a nice Royal Gramma or a six line wrasse. They are a little more expensive fish for a first fish, but if your tank is well cycled I dont see a problem.

I have two 3 dotted damsels and 2 ocellaris clowns, they are all still young but the clowns and the damsels seem to like each other very much! they swim together and dont pick on each other, but I know they can be aggressive when they are older but from what I have read if they are introduced young they have a good chance of being ok with each other when they are larger.

The biggest problem with Damsels is getting them back out....
