    Forum:

I just filled the tank with water added sand and ran my Protein skimmer and return pump to test plumbing all is OK no leaks and the gate valves work as designed.

My question is the sump now looks like crap due to the sand silt. Should i remove and clean out the sump or just wait till the silt is stabilized and then clean while running the sump for a few days.

How long before it clears up?

Once again thanks for the advise...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would definitely wait and let the silt clear. It may take like 4 or 5 days.

    Congratulations on the new system.

Congrats on the new system. Just run circulation in the DT it might help it settle quicker.
