    I runa eshopps 300 overflow. It has been running since day 1 on my tank i set up in june 2009. It has never broke siphon the key is to keep your flow high enough to push bubbles right through the u - tube. but if you dont want to mess with it im sure you will do just fine.

    You could also use a drill though overflow.

    Update, tank is still crazy murky, doesnt look like its clearing much at all. Even if it settles I wonder how miuch of it will kick back up during substrate cleanings? Took awhile for me to produce that 90 gallon of RO water so I dont really want to have to do a water change right now on it. But maybe it would be worth stiring up the sand and doing a big water change. hmmm. I'll try wait another day.

    one word...patience

    once the tank is established (in about 6 months to a year) the clean up crew should eliminate the need to disturb the sand bed
