I chose the location because it gets a couple of hours of NSL, then its no longer a factor....problems you may face with NSL are viewing issues, and picture taking issues, other than those two, I can't think of any negative effects of some NSL.

So since I dose vodka, and my chaeto was dying out, I have decided to make a small frag area in my sump. I bought a used Giesemann Nova Pendant, along with a Vortech MP10 for flow. Volume for that part of the sump is 18G... I took a couple pics tonight I thought I'd share showing the light cycle I have. I run my Powermodule at 2 bulbs for 12 hours, and all 10 bulbs for 6 hours....

I am going to start farming corals for a member of my local club, so I decided to turn my fuge into a frag section. Got a Vortech MP10 for flow, and a Giesemann Nova 2 for lighting.

For a tank less than 20G, it would be great, but anything bigger and you should just get a MP40W...Reasoning: If you get a MP20, why not just get a MP40W, the pump is the same size, and you can always run it at 75% or less if the flow is too much.

The MP10 is also a lot louder than my MP40W's...at least at 100% it is. BTW, I used to live at Marina Bay, right out of college....

I love that tank! Unlike most of us you've managed not only to create a nice scene inside the tank, but the tank itself looks good and adds another modern object to the room...the way the powerhead sticks there, the nice flat lighting fixture, the tank's look...

    thanks micstars and bama :)
I got the Giesemann hung under the stand, and frag racks installed, even dropped a bunch of plugs in there. The MP10 gives a lot of great flow in the tank
