Thanks Joe, the bare bottom definitely helps keep the tank super clean. My lighting consists of a Sfiligoi 2x400W Pendant, which I added 2x 24" reefbrite LED strips for actinics. I modded the pendant, and removed one of the 400 W ballasts, and added a sunlight supply Bluewave 7 ballast. I bought that particular ballast to specifically fire a Radium bulb. I will soon convert the whole fixture to a 2x250W setup, for the summer. This should cut some of the heat, I do have a 1/3 hp, drop in chiller, which I am hoping won't be needed as much, with this switch.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Very nice! Do you have the names for images 1 and 4. I have my guesses. Image 4 almost looks like a tortuosa.

    Thanks 2n10

Thanks coralline, the first one is the Strawberry Shortcake under just LED's, the tips are super dark pink, and the coral is starting to really morph into something hot. The 4th coral is the ORA German Blue Polyp Acro, the polyps are a nice blue that pops under all lighting, super slow grower...I've seen only a few colonies, and it isn't a tortusa, it has a strange growth pattern, encrusting for over a year, before any vertical growth. A nice coral, but hard to find.

It's been awhile since I last posted. Been away from home for over a month. I hired a maintenance guy to service the tank once a week. On week one, I asked him to swap out my 5 lb. CO2 tank, for a 10-15 lb. tank he had. My first concern, was after his first visit, he told me something about some algae, and how he dosed, Hydrogen Peroxide in the tank, diluted. I said, ***? Never dose anything without asking me. Then he sets my CO2 up, and decides to reprogram my timer for the reactor. Decides to trim it to one hour intervals, even though the manufacturer states to run it for two hours. It didn't matter, because he could have had it set for 24/7, and nothing would have happened, since he didn't open up the needlevalve, even after I told him that the regulator was already set perfectly. It was completely shut off, so no supplementing the tank for a month.

What a disaster, I lost My Aussie colonies, along with frags of Ultimate Rainbow acro, pearlberry, ice age granulosa, purple monster, Raspberry Limeade Hyacinthus, Jedi mMind Trick Monti, Ultimate Red Acro, Pink Lemonade....and now I have algae...The MP60, had slipped to the bottom of the tank...It was a disaster...If I wasn't called away, and had time to prepare, i could have just left it alone, and had a RO/DI plumbed to the sump, and it would have been fine.

The aftermath...oh well, I love buying coral, best part of the hobby.

A lot of my chalices were bleached out...funny, because when i got home, for some reason the Radium Light 1 was not on, it was off on the controller.
