Thanks guys, actually I never talked to him again, other than when I went off on him not following my directions and killing 1K worth of corals...at the time.

On a brighter note, I have been debating getting more snails to eat the excess algae in the tank. Instead, I kept doing small 10 gallon water changes each week, never adding extra GFO etc...As a matter of fact, I haven't changed the GFO in over a month.

Check out the pics from yesterday compared to a week ago, note the algae...this is from just letting the tank cure itself, no extra snails, or big water changes, no scraping. Even the snails are losing the algae.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Nice!

    Love that yuma coloration.

Long slow haul back from the algae and other issues, but it sure looks like it's making a nice comeback. Every coral in the last post are great pieces.

How did the Strawberry Shortcake far?

    Thanks Corailline

the shortcake started to STN, I made over 15 frags, and each slowly melted away. I should have crazy glued the dead area when got back, the next day, it didn't look like it was worse. So what I did was cut frags...I think I should have used crazy glue instead, I've had better luck using it over fragging. Problem with fragging that colony, is the massiveness of the base of the colony, it's kind of tough to cut frags, normally branches break off easily, but not this coral.

The algae issues, etc...took longer because I let the tank, heal itself. I didn't do weekly water changes, nor did I change out the GFO every few weeks. I even refused the temptation to buy more snails. I occasionally scraped the glass. I cut back on feeding of fish.

That Yuma is the third generation of a Yuma I got three years ago. I used to have two frags of it, but while I waited for it to attach to carx media, in my sump...one floated away, to oblivion. lol

That last coral is the first addition to the tank in a long time. I've been super patient waiting for my tank to be solid. Everything is so stable, and running on auto pilot.

I am getting replacement SSC and Enchinata colonies whenever my LFS orders them...been on him for three months...:p

Im going to be adding another SSC and Aussie Enchinata if they arrive in good shape tomorrow. Also thinking of adding a Magnifica into the tank, found one local...

Your tank is looking lovely B. You sure showed patience in getting rid of that algae. Most people would have bought chemi pure, gfo, and probably purigen to combat that algae. Super job.

Thanks guys....Bruh, It was hard at first, not to load the tank with snails, or fill the reactor with fresh GFO. As a matter of fact, I considered dosing vodka again, and pellets. I decided to just let the tank cure itself, since before the "hired maintenance guy" the tank ran real well, and I figured why add the bioload in order to clean the tank.

So after asking my LFS to get me replacements, they finally came into the shop this evening.,,,,
after their dip...SSC colony, Aussie Enchinata mini colony, unknown aussie frag
