Looks like you got a nice row of baby acans popping up in that last pic.

I love acans but haven't gotten around to getting any... those are sweeeet! Prolly cost you a buch for that size colony. Your growth is amazing. I have a purple rimmed too and yours has more character!

Also, I saw the last there... "so dont go there. peace."
Totally over-read the they're... "knows what there doing in this hobby".
    You were right, apologies.
Also a formal "sorry" for chopping your thread BTowned.

I know, my orange one was like over 2 feet but I had to bust it up when my 150 blew so everything would fit in the 55. The problem with the pieces I saved is that I keep moving them around and touching them. By the time they heal I touch them again. Everything is unmounted because I didn't expect the tank to blow. Once it did, everything was already in the 55 and I knew that I was def getting a different tank so I left everyone unmounted.
Now with the 72, I will epoxy everyone... even the rocks together. I am just really limited on space and have alot of mixed coral. Maybe you can help... My original thought was to put all the zoas along the bottom but then I was thinking of putting the LPS on the bottom to keep them away from the SPS... But now I have read that you should put Monti Cap low because it will out grow everything. I also have a new tyree chalice that I know stays low so... Now I have alot of low lying creatures??? Should I make a thread listing all my corals and ask for placement? It's pretty much sps, lps and zoas... and a future acan.

I have my cap in the back corner, knowing its going to get big and shade corals, i placed it where you can see it, but its not an opposing piece. All your low light LPS can go lower in your tank, and get partial shading from your SPS...same with Chalices, since most enjoy lower light, unless its an Indonesian Chalice which normally love high light. Another thought is you can create an Island of SPS, and another smaller Island of LPS, Zoas....that way, you have no threat of zoas overtaking sps, or LPS warfare.

SWEET ACANS!!! You might have to sell me one so I can try... lol.
I know that places use temperary boxes to view under water in a tub prop set-up... but those are small boxes for temp viewing only an they remove them so the dont block light to corals if the box were to float over them. I would assume plexi-glass being optically clear that it wouldn't rob any value from your lighting but they remove their's for some reason.
