The color is beautiful, but it looks like it's suffering from tissue necrosis as you can see the skeleton showing and on other polyps it already dead. How long has it been in the tank?

About two weeks.. The left side inflated right away. The right side skeleton was showing most of the time but is now starting to come out properly. Seems like it is just taking it's time getting used to the tank. It was 3 times as big they cut it up at the store.

I dont know that coral looks pretty lame being so big and all, it would look better if you fragged it up and sent some out to other 3reefers. : )

JK, thats a real nice piece......the pink acans are easily my favorite ones!

I wouldnt worry about the pieces that necrosed. It is probably from the fragging...acan polyps often times are lost from fragging. Will grow new polyps

Very cool looking coral...have one like that! It will inflate in no time if you give it some mysis and then krill
