    I've never heard this. Matter of fact, from my time in the hobby, I've noticed quite the opposite.

    I have noticed they are much more temperamental about lighting then many LPS but definitely not a tricky coral to keep if conditions are right. With good feeding/lighting acan lords can grow FAST, I've noticed echs grow a little on the slower side though.

    yeah lords grow at a nice rate. I just couldn't find a lord with the colors that this one has

    I'm going back and forth about picking up a big colony from a LFS. They are a bright pink with lime green banding and are absolutely amazing. Downside is that the colony is huge and the price is in line with that.

    I'll bet. This was a pretty pricey piece too but well worth it in my opinion.

    I can imagine, some of the nice Ech's get pretty pricey. I just traded in an orange crush colony and kinda wish I had kept a frag.

    i'll say really high end echinatas go for about 20 - 25/head usually around here. I got 8 heads. I didn't pay that much because it was from a buddies colony. I paid around half that which is still alot for a coral that's about 2.5 inches wide.
