New acro colony from LFS w/ Pics!

    This is the colony i picked up since it came with an acro crab. Its kinda brown/blue/purple with white/yellow polyps but if I can make him happy im thinking it will have blue tips with a purple body and yellow polyps. I hope so sounds like a winner. I Am thinking it was a maricultured coral due to the acro crab but it might have been aquacultured. It is seated on a large dome frag disk and I know the LFS orders most its corals from ORA.

    Im gonna get new bulbs and have my ATO and auto doser so color should be alot eaier to maintain. I was thinking of going 3 ATI Blue + and a GE 6500? Anyone got a better plan from me cause im clueless

    Thanks KC, I couldn't get a good pic of my crab either!!!! My wife thinks its really cool too!

    I reckon your right on the purple / blue combo or it may have bright purple tips as one of mine coloured up in that way

    Thanks Steve, it ended up being $60 but its 4-5 inches AND it had a crab. The Polyp contrast makes the difference in the end. I won't buy the other one there though they have a goniopra labled 'Red Jewel Gonniopra' that I kinda want to nab even though its pretty pricey at $65

    Also Im having a heck of a time getting blues out of my SPS, i mean they are coming along over the past 6-8 weeks but I wonder if supplimentaion is needed or just higher PAR/ new bulbs
