My new addition lost a ton of tissue over night! It was fine yesterday. Should I frag it?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It lost tissue at the tip. Could have been damaged in packaging. Me personally I would not jump to fragging it right now. Harder to frag when the tissue loss is starting at the top rather than the base.

It seems occurred on the other tip too, just to a lesser extent. It all happened in the last 7-8 hrs. Was fine the first 14

I couldn't imagine that much tissue loss over night without some damage that was done to the Coral unless your water conditions are terrible and I doubt that would be the case.
I agree with Corailline. I would hold off for awhile and see what happens.
I know it's the kettle calling the pot black, but did you check your parameters this morning?

I didn't have time, unfortunately. I had to get to the office. I did a 5 gallon water change on Friday and several 5 gallon water changes over the previous week or two.

Well it doesn't look worse this evening, so that's good.

I got back from my unexpected trip up north (family death) and the piece is worse (Left Friday morning, returned last night). That entire right branch is now white to where it meets the smaller branch in the foreground. There are spots that are seeing tissue loss throughout.

Now, the tank lost about 3 gallons (20 gallon system) of water while was gone, so the salinity obviously changed severely and the power-heads were exposed, which caused bubbles to attach to everything. I don't think either of those helped in the healing process. In fact, it probably led to the further degradation.

    Thoughts?
