I was thinking pearl bubble too but I don't think it's an lps. Still waiting for a reply to my question earlier on in the thread.

I agree. My LFS gets them in occasionally as a "bubble mushroom" and they sell the nice ones for about $45 a piece I think. Not horrible, but not cheap either.

The only thing that makes me think it's not a pearl bubble coral is that it has a skirt like a mushroom. Maybe I haven't seen enough varieties of bubble coral but I haven't seen one with a skirt like that, at least not as obvious, maybe it's still acclimating or something.

I was wondering what that was. Is "skirt" the generic term for that little flap of flesh that I see?

you would be correct! I have never seen a bubble with a "skirt" before, that and it does not look like it has a skeletal structure from the picture. BTW Scenario, my LFS was selling a drabber green one(single shroom) for 80 bucks, that orange one IMO is worth something, looks incredible! The LFS said people like these mushrooms because they are much easier to care for than an anemone and clownfish often host with ease.

They are both soft corals. No skeleton at all and both have a large mouth in the center like a mushroom. They are both the size a little smaller than a CD. I am glad to see that I got some nice pieces that you don't see that often. I know this is the first time I saw them.

Oh and I know the first one is not a pearl bubble coral for sure.

So is it thought that both are the genus Rhodactis sanctithomae?
