Hey guys, i just bought a green hammer coral frag from LFS for $10!!! He fragged it outta his display for me! I was just wondering, should i find him a shady spot in my tank due to the 250W MH over 40g? Or will he be ok in the open? And will i have trouble finding him a location with low enough current running 2x Hydor Koralia 3's? Will he be ok with that?

    Thanks,
    Evan.

10 dollars, nice!!! Hammers are known to like moderate to strong lighting. I moved my hammer to a spot in my tank where it gets about 15 minutes of sun light a day, the thing has exploded. So I would guess it would like an nice light spot rather than a shady one.

    Good job.

Hammers are nice, but keep distance from other corals. They do not like close neighbors...:-/

Well... i've been really stuggling to get pics up... my camera is down, my g/f's camera is missing the required cord to get the pics to the compy.. I'll do my best though. Just cleaned the tank of some hair algae today so i might snap some pics if i can.

Thanks guy, i put him in direct lighting lower in the tank. I figure that should be enough under the lighting i have. VERY far from other corals :p
