Awesome thanks for the input! They had a large 5inch or so one for 70 that was purple he said the orange ones are so much more expensive to get in. I figured I have nothing but time to let it grow well see how fast it does lol. I wonder if they reproduce at all in the aquarium

 

Any time I guess that's the case, which means the one you got was a steal. I just found this article on propagating them "Frag" of the Month - December 2006 - Propagating Fungia sp. (Plate coral) - Reefkeeping.com

 

interesting, I do not plan on cutting my guy up anytime soon though. I was hoping maybe it would just form baby colonies but it sounds like that wont happen without that growth stalk.
