    Awesome thanks for the input! They had a large 5inch or so one for 70 that was purple he said the orange ones are so much more expensive to get in. I figured I have nothing but time to let it grow well see how fast it does lol. I wonder if they reproduce at all in the aquarium

    Any time :) I guess that's the case, which means the one you got was a steal. I just found this article on propagating them "Frag" of the Month - December 2006 - Propagating Fungia sp. (Plate coral) - Reefkeeping.com

    interesting, I do not plan on cutting my guy up anytime soon though. I was hoping maybe it would just form baby colonies but it sounds like that wont happen without that growth stalk.

    Pictures posted in the build thread including one of the fungia eating, will continue to update on their progress and growth there
