I am first going to apologize in advance for no pics, I will try to get some on here soon!!!

Well as most of you read we had crazy flooding here. Kogle and I had to help a buddy tear down his tank, floodwater went all the way up to the bottom trim:eek:! So I am fostering his sixline, and he is great!! Made it through the move just fine. As I posted before I got a blue hippo on last Sat. that got ich because a 2 hour trip to the lfs turned into a 6+ hour trip and we (Kogle and I) barely made it into Columbus before the floodwater surrounded the entire city. Good news - most of the white stuff has gone away with daily flake+garlic feedings:thumb_up::beer::clapping:!! Still can't turn my MJ mod on without fear of him being sucked to it again, hopefully he will be strong enough here soon.

Lastly, Wednesday my wife and I got to meet our first child, a beautiful 7 lb. 15 oz 20 inch long beautiful baby girl!! She was scheduled to be induced in Columbus on Tuesday, but our hospital is closed for 3-5 months due to flooding. We went Tuesday night to Bloomington hospital (had some awful looking sw tanks:-/!!) and on Wednesday had an emergency c section after the baby (Avery Mae) had a problem with her heart rate dropping dangerously low while in labor. By far the scariest thing I have ever been through, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Within 20 min. we were in surgery and everyone pulled through wonderfully!!

I haven't been on here in a week so I just wanted to catch everyone up on the news! By far the craziest week I have ever experienced!!

I'm glad everything turned out OK, I had a similar expierience when my son was being born. we had an early C-section and he came out not being able to breathe on his own, scariest thing in my life. his lungs were premature. never cried and prayed so much in my life. he was in the NICU for almost two weeks before we were able to bring him home, he was poked and prodded, had tubes coming from everywhere. so i can undestand where you're coming from. God bless, and good luck.

Thanks everyone, all the well wishes are greatly appreciated!! She slept all day and now doesn't want to leave our arms since it is nightime LOL!
Nunch that is a crazy story, makes me feel like ours was a breeze! I'm glad everything turned out good for you, is he the one in your avatar? She was fine once she was born, just had a heart deacceleration, it can cause permanant damage if not delivered immediately, luckily the staff busted tail and got her out in time. Makes you count your blessings for sure!

OK Aquaboy, don't say a word...eh. eh. eh. not a word. BMShehan, if you find the baby is not sleeping at night and too much in the day flip her backwards, GENTLY turn her over backwards, making sure you support the neck and back. one time. when they are born, sometimes they get turned the wrong way when they come out and their "bearings" get confused. I"M DEAD SERIOUS! Worked with my son and my grand daughter and a friend's 2 kids. Y'all go ahead and laugh..........Mine both slept all night from the time I turned them. It sounds bizzare but it works! I'm a Grandma and Grandma's know these things!
