Yesterday, I drove (BTW, Maryland is much farther away than I thought lol) and met Whippy to pick up a couple corals and her mandarin, so here's some pics:

And today, I went to my LFS, and ended up walking out with some fishies. I got a canary blenny:

And some clowns, who paired in the shop:

....who are already hosting in my torch coral, despite the signs at the door saying "Host only in the Plate Coral please!":

Here's a new FTS, since I rearranged the tank:

The only reason I walked out of the shop with fish today was because the clowns have been in the shop for 2 months, and the canary blenny has been there for over a month and a half.

To meet in MD, it took about 2 hours to get there, and 2 1/2 back because of traffic. Whippy drove up about the same distance from Virginia.

Definitely a good couple days, though ;D

    Thank you very much!

Here's a better picture of the mandarin, now that he's(?) out in the open:

Also, a pic of my hi fin red banded goby; this is his new favorite hiding spot:

Yes, the mandarin eats pellets and live brine. I'm going to work on getting it to eat frozen mysis, since I feed that regularly for my other fish, but not really pellets.

And yes, it's under the shell from the clam that got bulldozed by the whelks. I put it near the front, since it likes to hide from my hand when I work in the tank but doesn't mind me looking in to the tank. This way, I can see him and make sure he's ok, and point out how silly he is for hiding under a shell with less than 1/2" of clearance and an opening for his body that's only about the size of him lol.

Haha yeah, the shell works out perfectly because you can easily find him! Very nice. He looks so cute in there!

Nice adds and tank. The mandarin is a male, the elongated dorsal spine is how you tell.
