This is a 1/5 HP chiller availible soon from CoralVue retail will be somewhere between $225 and $250. It has a digital controller built into it as well. It is rated to cool up to a 150 gallon tank.  I will probably run a $199 intoductory price when they arrive!

I thought that for a larger tank such as 100-150gl that you would need to have at least 1/3 hp for it to run efficiently. I'm new to this hobby(2 mo) and a chiller is one thing that we're looking into right now (120gl ). Is this considered an inline chiller? I would be interested in knowing more about it. Noise level, how much heat does it put off?

    Thanks,
    Cindy

Yeah I'd like some more info too.

That's freakin' cheap! How can it be that cheap? I paid nearly as much for my coolworks probe and controller!

    Darin...

Agree with Matt...this is the best bargin for a chiller I have yet seen...

Since I live in PNW...only need once in a while so have just installed a larger room air conditioner in family room where tank is...But at this price, I might want to add one of these also. Will watch and see how this summer goes.

As I think I said before, David D'Aquin of Coralvue is going to great lengths to get us the best possible products and lowest prices...

Am sure somebody here will buy one as soon as you can get a supply...and give us all a full report. ;)

    Rgds,

    Omar
