    Welcome to 3Reef.

I just want to caution you on the Oceanic 72G Bow front. I have had one that sprung a leak and it was replaced then sprung a leek a second time. I have heard this time and time again with the Oceanic 72G Bow. They Leek. I would hate for you to get all set up and things moving along well only after 4 months have to take the tank down to get it replaced or fixed.

If I were you I would just get the 75G standard tank.

I agree with this one too. My buddy had one and it sprung a leak overnight. By time morning came around, he had about 10-15G of water on the floor. The leak came from the right side, about 1/3 of the way down from the top. The curved glass gives an awkward stress point and breaks the seal of the silicone over time. When I bought my 65G acrylic, I was leaning towards the more expensive Oceanic 72G bowfront since it had more volume, but my LFS told me "not a smart buy, save the money and get a different tank if you really want to start a new tank." They probably can't flat out say "they will leak on you" but I'm sure that is what he wanted to say. That tank is still sitting in the back of the store to this day.

My friend had black silicone. The one at the LFS was clear.

Take a look on your local craigslist. I did that and was able to get a steal. Guy was moving to another state, didn't want the hassel, got a 3000.00 setup for 900. Priced it all myself came out nice. Haven't seen a deal like it since, but i know they are out there. May save you a few bucks, people are running into hard times, and trying to unload their set ups to survive. So in the long run you can try and help somebody out at the same time.
