is this for a FOWLR? Make sure you have tops for the Flame Hawk and Wrasse. If you plan on corals a few of those fish may or may not pick like the angel and the Trigger.

 

yeah fowlr on this tank im waiting for my 1000 gallon predator tank ;D

and i just spent an hour snipping my eggcrate from homedepot it actually fits really well there a few wholes in the back but i dont thell be that opportunistic

 

I made DIY top with materials/instructions on BRS, love how it came out, you should do it, looks so much better than the eggcrate. You can order the clear mesh from BRS & get the rest of the materials cheap from Depot or Lowes: Clear 1/4" Screen Netting 6.5' x 2.5' - English

All you'll need other than the mesh is to buy some aluminum framing pieces, spline, & a spline roller.

1000g predator tank, wowzers that's big!

 

I made homemade screening like MoJoe and it works great.

 

im going with the go big or go home theory and i was going to look for a mesh top but i saw the egg crate and jumped on it since it was the last piece! i shaved it down to fit the tank tank so it fits right in the tank it doesent stick out i got lucky with it
its very fragile material but seeing your top makes me rethink the eggcrate haha
