Can someone identify this anenome for me please.
I just got it from a friend almost a week ago who had it for a couple years and its still looking for a permanent place to settle.

Looks like a Rose BTA, I could very well be wrong, but that is what it looks like to me in the image.

The long, non-tapered tentacles are indicative of the Ritteri, although other nem species can appear similar under insufficient lighting.

Yeah when I first placed him it was on a cliff under good lighting stayed for a couple days then moved to the bottom of the tank under a rock and I dont know why. I kind of knew he would move but I thought he would have moved to a spot with good lighting you know somewhere healthy for him.

It will take it some time in a new tank for it to get comfortable. New tank as in new to it :) It can take more them a month before it seeks a new spot under the lights again. I would try & feed it in a week or so & if it eats then feed it about every other day. Small amounts of food nothing big...

You do not need to spot feed it every day, once a week to once every 2 weeks should be fine. You do not need to feed most common corals once a day either unless they are NPS (non-photosynthetic) ahermatypic. Unless you have really insufficient lighting I would not, feed so often especially corals or anemones.

Well thanks for the info dude greatly appreciated Ill be sure to tell my Anenome and Coral it was your idea to cut back on their feeding lol.
But Im happy to say that my
Anenome is coming back into the light looking quit healthy and my two ocellaris clown fish have taken very well to it which I was told doesnt happen to often between BTA's and that certain species of clown.
