Just installed my new ATI bulbs. Got 2 coral plus and 2 blue plus. Went C+, B+, C+ B+. What a difference from the stock coralife bulbs. Picture just doesn't do it justice. Yeah I can't believe how much brighter they are. My corals seem to like em to. I finally am able to get corals to open in my tank. Tried about 4 months ago and nothing would open up. Got some yesterday and within a few minutes they were already opening. Guess at two months my tank wasn't mature enough yet. I still got some work to do with my tank but its getting there. Thanks.

    Excellent.

I would still acclimate the corals though.

I run the exact same bulb combo and absolutely love it, and I have the same prob taking pics, the pics always end up dark and blue, looks nothing like that in person.

How would I go about acclimating the corals. First time having corals so not sure what to do. The zoas closed up while I was changing the bulbs out but opened back up once I put the light fixture back on.

You can reduce the lighting period.

    Move the fixture up.

Cover the tank with some simple screen for a week.

Corals should acclimate quickly but they might be closed or close more frequently, you might notice a change in coloration to the corals as well.

I reduce the lighting period when I change out more than one bulb and I use ATI.
