Doctor update... There was no baby.. apparently an egg fertilized and she still passed it or something. Either way her body thought she was pregnant, 4 tests said yes, hormones raised, placenta, sac, etc was there.. but the baby never formed. So she is taking medication to "induce labor" to pass everything. We will try again when the doctor says its safe. Thanks for everyones prayers.

My heart goes out to you and your wife, Cdeboard. We don't always understand why these things happen. We "announced" that we were expecting when we had family visiting. I'll never forget my sister's face - almost a look of horror. I later found out she was also pregnant and hadn't told anyone because she was having problems. She miscarried the next week. I felt awful. They waited a while to try again, and a little over a year after my boys were born, my amazing nepew was born, who just turned 18. It's such a sad time right now, but have faith for a happy ending down the road. Chin up. :)

So sorry to hear. I definitely know how your wife is feeling right now and wish that there was a way that I could comfort her :(

I was terrified to tell anyone that I was pregnant with Atticus seeing as I had had a miscarriage a few years earlier. It's somewhat of an unwritten law to not announce pregnancy until you've past the first trimester when the risk of miscarriage reduces significantly.
