    It's minaly soft corals that have this. It protects their soft skin (if I remember correctly) from predators.

    Got it right on the nail about the toxins. Its called palytoxin. Still unknown about how concentrated it is since there are countless species and morphs.

    I will get pictures up tomorrow! I've been bogged in summer classes!

    Pictures! Here are some morning pictures before the lights are on!

    The Emerald crab riding the snail.

    Blue legged hermit. You have no idea how many hermits we had to flip over to find a blue leg.

    Misc snail that I believe is a turban snail.

    You can kind of see the end of the hermit shell and a bit of the emerald crab at the center of the image by the filter intake.
