Not the best quality photo, this is from my cell phone. Get her yesterday from reefs2go.com. She is a little bigger than what I was hoping for, but not too outrageous. She moved to the back of the tank last night so I pointed a powerhead in her general direct so by the time I got home from work today she has moved to side. I guess I'll let her stay there since I can see from looking to the side. Obviously I wish she would move to the front, but these things have a mind of their own. ;D

We'll see how this goes. I've always told myself I would never try one of these, but lately I've been quite bored with my current tank so this has spiced it up for me.

Honestly, you shouldn't have pointed the powerhead at it. If it found a spot that it liked, you shouldn't have forced it to move. On the other hand it looks like a nice specimen. Just a couple of questions. How old is your tank and what type of lighting do you have?

My tank is 1 year and 1 month old (born in Sept. 2008 ). This anemone is in a 29 gal with 4x 24watt T5HO. I wanted her to move because I was afraid she would wander to back lower half of the tank where she wouldn't get much light and it would have be difficult to feed her. As you may be able to see, all pumps and intakes have been covered but just to be safe I didn't want her wandering back there. I was more worried about light and feeding.

    Thanks. It's exciting.

Thanks. We will see how this goes. I've been reading about BTA's for a few weeks now so I think I have a good grasp on what to expect, but who knows. This is my first anemone and I expect it to be the most challenging animal that I've attempted to keep in my tank. So I'm a little nervous.

Hats off to reefs2go.com. They sent me what appears to be a fairly healthy anemone. Feed her a 1/4 of a silverside and she gladly accepted it. I just hope it's done moving around. I did commit a no no and put this animal in tank containing corals that can't be moved.

Nice. Looks like you protected it from an intake of sorts with some plastic screen in the second picture. k+ to you.

Have you protected it from your powerheads? If not you can use some bridal veil netting or filter floss type of material.
