Today, the LFS had a pair of Yellow Watchman Gobies. I scooped the two and a VERY small Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp. The two Watchmans are about 2 1/2 inches and the Pistol is about 3/4-1 inch. I got all three out of the bag at once, and brought them to the sand bed before releasing them. Upon being released, all three shot off in different directions and haven't found each other yet. Think they will? Will the Pistol be able to find food for itself without the Gobies?

I would imagine that they will regroup here in a few days after they get used to their surroundings. In fact, I think it is inevitible. Watch and wait and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Yeah the shrimp will be fine. Ours has gone 2 or 3 weeks at a time without a goby...his first goby died upon acclimation to the new tank (he was a tad sick me thinks...) and his other guy jumped out.

Now he's paired with a yellow watchman and they are both as happy as ever.

Oh, and it took our yellow watchman about 10 minutes to pair up after we put him in the tank. Luck would have it, that after he circled the tank on the sand looking around, he decided to go into the hole the shrimp was in. They were out and about the next morning.

Awesome. The Gobies are a little freaked out. The females on the sand bed and the males on the glass. The Pistol dug around under a rock for a while then disappeared. Being paranoid as I am I'm afraid the rock fell on him. I'm sure he's fine though.

Everyone found each other. Heres a picture of the Gobies together. They've been in the burrow for a while except when my Sally Lightfoot Crab went in and scared them out. I know the Pistol is in there because I see sand moving out from underneath every so often. Heres a pic.

The Watchmans don't seem to want prepared food. Also, how will the shrimp eat if he stays in the burrow?
