What I'm planing to do is have live rock in first section then skimmer then 3 baffle section followed by return pump. Don't really plan to use any filter media is that a good idea?

looks good to me, i dont see a place for you to have a refug but i guess its up to u. i personally have found that having a refug makes things alittle easier then not, but its just mo, the sump looks basic enough to work. what kind of baffles are you gonna use? glass acrylic? remember to LET it dry good. i made my first sump and didnt let it dry long enough and had to redue it cause the baffles broke off, not enough patience at the time... GL keep the pics coming

I have the acrylic. Don't plan on going with the fuge just wanna keep it really simple. Is it a must that I use some sorta sock or something coming into the first section where the live rock is?

R better yet should I have the skimmer in the first section and then the live rock in the next. Or does the order of that part really matter.

What's the easiest way to get the silicone all the way down the baffles? What's the best silicone to use?
