    got a jbj ato for xmas and went and got a new bulb on boxing day. so for i am loving the color of the bulb and i can believe i went this long without an ato

    oh and the red sea pro test kits are SWEET. easy to use and no mess. i used to use salifert kits but i think i like these better, great price on them too...

    its a 250w sunpod over a oceanic 58 gal tank. i was running a 14.5k megachrome bulb b4 but swiched to a pheonix 14k hexarc blue. i got this bulb on sale for 20% off i could have bought 2 for the price of a new megachrome...

    It is certainly making the colours pop for you
    All the greens LPS, Zoas, shrooms etc and also the red monti are looking much nicer under this new lamp IMO

    thanks i know i need to get some diff. colors in the tank. i have some zoas on the bottom of the tank red, purple and pink ones. i am running a bare bottom tank as you can see and im hoping that they will grow on the bottom of the glass. ive been running bare bottom tanks since i had my 3gal pico tank and i doubt ill ever go back to a substrate...

    My softy tank also features a lot of green corals jm's RSM , and I deliberately chose to have it that way due to the flourescent nature of the corals under the actinic tubes I use
    as far as late evening viewing is concerned, green corals are without doubt my favourite
